Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Up to 135kg will be shaved off the weight of Leyland Daf models.

The savings on 65, 75, 85 and 95 Series trucks have been achieved by changes to hubs, springs and rear axles, plus the adoption of alloy cased ZF 16S 151 and 168221 gearboxes.

The biggest weight savings are on 85 and 95 series 6x2 tractive units which shed 135kg. Similar 4x2 tractors lose 125kg. Lighter 65 and 75 Series rigids and 75 series tractors benefit least with a saving of 30kg.
