• AWD will announce a new tank transporter chassis at this year's British Army Equipment Exhibition at Aldershot in June. The new (as-yet un-named) vehicle is based on the Bedford TM 6x 6 chassis, and fitted with a 300kW Cummins 14-litre engine. The distinguishing external feature is that, for the first time, the TM cab appears in bonnetted form — the whole cab structure having been moved back along the chassic to accommodate the bonnet.
The final shape of the new nose is likely to be rather more aggressive-looking than was indicated by early artist's impressions.
