COURSES on freight forward ing, value added tax and in surance are being arranged 131 the Freight Transport Associa tion.
Workshops on the Institute a Freight Forwarders' condition: of trading are being held in Man chester on May 9 and in Londor on May 15, and will cost £65 pluE vat for FTA members, or £7t plus vat for non-members.
Nine seminars are being rur from late June in London, Bris tol, Manchester, Scotland, Kent Southampton, Birmingham Durham/Teesside and Wakefielc to review the full effects for the change of vat arrangements foi imports, which takes effect or October 1.
The seminars, which are beinc supported by HM Customs anc Excise, are to be run jointly witf Sitpro and the British Importers Confederation.
A half-day workshop on the terms of the CMR insurance convention is being held in Lon. don on June 26. It will cost FT,I members £35 plus vat, non. members £45 plus vat.
