HAROLD RUSSETT, the Road Haulage Association's chairman, would not have chosen the title given to the paper on the operation of 38-tonne lorries that he read to a conference of the Brewery Transport Advisory Committee. It was "The High Reward".
Anyone seeking a high reward would not find it in road haulage, Harold said. The way to earn that is to sell coloured water at 80p a pint.
