Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DRUM ENGINEERING will exhibit new products at this year's Road Haulage Association Tipcon Show from May 3-6, including a new lightweight tipping gear for sixand eight-wheelers carrying free-flowing loads.

By making improvements in the ram nest, Drum claims to have saved up to 100kg (220 lb) in weight over conventional tipping gear. The new lightweight range, however, retains design features in common with the Drum standard range including precision-drawn outer covers, spheroidal graphite ram rings, intermediate steel bases to remove strain from the ram nuts, and a built-in return filter designed to remove any debris in the hydraulic fluid.

Cost for the lightweight tipping gear is also less than the standard range. A full lightweight gear kit with single ram, power take-off, trunion bar, tipping bracket and hinges costs £2,800 (plus vat) compared to a standard kit price of £3,063 (plus vat).

Other new developments from Drum include its 25kg (551b) Jupiter 100 compressor which has an oil free rotary vane, specifically designed for the pressure discharge of liquid road tankers. Rated at three bar (43psi) with a maximum air flow of 167cum/hr (5,964 cuft), the Jupiter 100 has a corrosion-free body and special inlet/outlet porting for low noise operation.

Drum will also be displaying a new lightweight pneumatic hand-throttle at Tipcon which can only be operated when the power-take off is actuated.
