Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALLEGATIONS that four owner drivers had inflated tonnage figures with the connivance of the transport manager of New Cheshire Salt Works, to obtain payments from the company to which they were not entitled, have been made at Mold Crown Court this week.

The owner-drivers concerned, William Baguley; John Penn; Victor Bradshaw, and John Rudd, all of Warrington, each denied four charges of self-accounting.

New Cheshire's transport manager, Colin Aldwinkle of Northwich, admitted 12 corresponding charges.

For the prosecution, Elwen Evans, said the charges were samples of specimen counts put of a total of several hundred transactions.

It was suggested that Baguley had unlawfully obtained a total of £8,275 from the company, Penn £6,312, Bradshaw £8,710, and Rudd £4,264, a total of over £27,500.

The trial which is expected to last a week is continuing.
