Frbring the benefits of softened water by automation to the small industrial user, the Permutit Company Ltd., have added a series of small automatic units to their range, demonstrated at the recent International Dairy Engineering Exhibition at Earls Court, London. The Permutit BZB6, measures 3 ft. 5 in., and the makers claim it will supply 120-180 gallons of soft water per hour by ion exchange. AI:1n automatic bus-washing machine, nounced by the 4-Minute Car Wash Co. Ltd., is claimed by the makers to wash all surfaces of a bus.
It requires no attendants as all operations are automatically controlled, the bus has only to be driven slowly through the machine. No stopping is necessary. Bulk handling containers
DECENT Stakaway bulk-handling con tainers from IFM (Fabrications) Ltd., feature a top cone conforming to the angle of repose of a wide variety of granular materials.
Four sizes are available, capacities: 20, 25, 30 and 43.5 cu. ft. Suitable for materials such as corn, sugar, dried milk, fuller's earth, dry silica, phosphate rock, etc., the container's bottom is angled to ensure complete material discharge through a simple slide valve. Of mild steel construction, the containers are fitted with a weathertight lid and hollow sections facilitate loading by fork-lift truck.
