GROOMING FOR CHAIR

THE RHA international group is grooming a senior vice-chairman to take over the chair and attend meetings to widen his experience. He is Mr. David White, of Brit-European Transport Ltd., unanimously elected at the group's annual general meeting when Mr. Jim Finnis was re-elected chairman and Mr. J. W. Ellis and Mr. C. W. Oliver were reelected vice chairmen.

Members were asked to indicate urgently the number of journeys made to or in transit through the Federal Republic of Germany in 1966, because statistics were needed for negotiations on bilateral quotas. Concern was expressed at the fact that France had not yet relaxed licensing restrictions for foreign hauliers although Britain had done so.
