Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The London Terminal and Central London Coach Stations Join Forces IN our issue dated February 24th we gave all the latest details concerning the operation of the London Terminal Coach Station in Clapham Road, London, S.W.9, as well as publishing a list of the 30 or more operating companies which utilize the station, enumerating the principal towns which their coaches serve. It is now announced that, as from April 1st, Coach Travels, Ltd., the proprietary concern in respect of this station, and the Central 'London (Roan Transport) Station, Ltd., of Crescent Place, London, W.C.1, have linked their interests.

From the point of view of the co-ordination of coach traffic connecting London with distant parts of the country this amalgamation is one of some importance. It may be said that its successful completion is largely due to the initiative of Mr. E. P. Lyne. managing director of the Central London concern, and he is to have the executive control of the two companies. Mr. Lyne tells us that for a long time he has seen the advantages that would accrue from such an arrangement, the foremost of these being economy in working and the further facilities which, by reason of co-operation, the two stations would be able to give both to the coach-operating companies and the public.

Not all of the practical details of the reorganization have yet' been settled, because, of course, some experience of the joint operation is needed before it Can be seen how things will best work out, but it is understood that there is no immediate intention to operate services of what might be called " ferry " coaches between, the two stations, neither is it likely that all the coach

services using the stations will he altered to permit calls at both stations.

Nevertheless, by the co-ordination of departure and arrival times, the public will benefit considerably.
