In last week's issue (wie September 6, p5) we reported on British hauliers' difficulties in operating in Italy. In the article, we reported that the Italian Government had slapped a total ban on the operation of heavy goods vehicles at weekends and public holidays. The situation has now been clarified, and it appears that the ban applies on Sundays and public holidays, and not on Saturdays. We apologise for any . confusion this may have caused.
