This is the conclusion of a survey just published by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI). Unless owner-managers have tried management training for themselves, they are unlikely to appreciate its value, says the survey report. Once they have tried it, they and their managers are likely to seek further training.

The survey of small businesses found that over threequarters of them had experienced training and 77% of these had found it well worthwhile; only 1% said it was a waste of time.
