• Cumberland Motor Services, now part of the National Bus Company, has appointed a new finance director. He is 48-years-old Bernard Henley, who joins from Dufay Bitumastic at Shildon, County Durham.
Initially chief accountant of Dufay Paints, he subsequently spent ten years as group finance director and company secretary, then two years as group chief executive before a recent takeover by BTP.
Earlier he spent five years in Trinidad with Price Waterhouse.
