FIVE MONTHS since the launch of Roadtrain, the first model in Leyland's T45 range, and over 1000 C40 cab shells have now been produced by Motor This does not mean that 1000 Roadtrain tractive units have been sold (in fact this is Leyland's sales target for the first complete year) for the same cab shell is used for the Constructor eight wheeler, and all new Leyland models down to 16.25 Panels (Coventry) Ltd. tonnes 116 tons) gvw will have cabs developed from the C40.
The main advantage of such a system is that cabs of various dimensions can be produced with little additional investment over and above the initial tooling costs.
