Christopher T. Dabell has been elected chairman of the Passenger Vehicle Operators Association. Mr. Dabell is chairman and managing director of the South Notts Bus Co. Ltd., of Gotham. He founded the company in 1926 and now operates 20 double-deck buses, four single-deckers and six luxury coaches. Leslie F. Bowen has been elected vice-chairman. Mr. Bowen is managing director of L F. Bowen Ltd., ArnoIds Coaches Ltd., Newtons Motor Services Ltd. and ArnoIds Travel Bureau. Frank Broomfield has been elected honorary treasurer. Mr. Broomfield, secretary of Barton Transport Ltd. and director and secretary of Hall Bros. (South Shields) Ltd..

Jack Brignall has been appointed chairman of Tillotson Commercial Motors, and has resigned from the board of the parent company. Wiles Group.
Tom Tracey, 30 and a native of Cork City, has been appointed sales manager of Frank Boland Ltd., commercial vehicle distributors of Cork.
J. M. Fleming, formerly BAS Parcels Ltd. accounts assistant. Midland area, has been appointed accountant. James Express Carriers Ltd.. Bristol.
Peter Crewe, 30._ has been appointed general sales manager (Commercial Vehicle division) of Thomas S. Whitney and Co. Ltd., Liverpool Ford main dealer.
Maurice Bayliss has been appointed a director and the general manager of Stewart and Ardern Ltd. Mr. Bayliss was previously London retail director and publicity and promotion manager of Flenlys Ltd. John LeRougetel, director and general production manager of Duple Motor Bodies Ltd.. has been appointed a director of the group's subsidiaries, Duple Motor Bodies (Midland) Ltd. and Willowbrook Ltd.
E. D. Boundy has been appointed managing director of fork Truck Rentals Ltd., a wholly owned group company of Lansing Bagnall Ltd. Mr. Boundy was previously executive director.
W. A. Easey has been appointed secretary and accountant of A. Timpson and Sons Ltd. as from October 1, in succession to P. J. Harmer, who, will be taking up a similar appointment with East Yorkshire Motor Services Ltd. Mr. Essay joins Timpson from the Marley Tile Co. Ltd.
F. S. Neate has retired from executive duties with Corralls (PD Fuels), part of the Powell Duffryn Group. Mr. Neate rose from office boy of a Portsmouth coal firm to company director in 45 years.
