A prominent motor manufacturer met the manager of a large fleet of commercial motors a few days ago and askede "Have you joined the new Engineers' Club ? "
"No,' replied the. fleet manager ; "I had thought of doing so, but I'm afraid of this specializing. I was there the other day as a guest, and I noticed that the new members,. sitting round the tables at lunch, had their slide rules out and were all carefully calculating the bending moment of the beef steaks! "
