Allports Group, headed by joint MDs Paul and Mark Sanders, consists of a new and used Renault van and truck dealer and service operation; a 420-strong truck and trailer rental business; Allports bodywork repair and paint centre; used truck and van dealer Truckcity; and trailer and double-deck specialist manufacturer Deker. Allports is seeing demand for Renault tractor units and 18-tonne rigids, as well as people returning to buying, as opposed to renting, trailers at present. A one-stop service for 3.5-tonne chassis cabs allied to various body configurations is proving popular as the move away from 7.5 tonne trucks continues.
