Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The commercial vehicle sales boom shows no signs of slackening, with registrations up 11.5% in September to a record 32,009 units, according to this month's figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

Truck registrations for the year so far have shot up by 18% to 51,898 units, of which a hefty 40% are accounted for by imports.

Iveco Ford is still just ahead of Leyland Daf in the neck-andneck battle of the truck giants. Both companies increased their market share, to 24.9% (12,908 units) and 22.4% (11,644 units) respectively — but lveco Ford is edging ahead.

Foden holds tenth position, will not stay there long, if i can capitalise on its 126% b in registrations, to reach 1, units. Dennis (UK) perform sluggishly in comparison: it 417 registrations represent increase of only 4.8% over same period last year.

Ford still dominates the medium-van sector with 41' of the market, but its increi of 9.2% over last year com pares badly with Nissan, 12( nault and Mercedes-Benz.

Bedford has done best in light vans, with an expansio 19.1% to 24,391 units, brin it closer to Ford's marketleading 28,024, which is onl up by 7.5%.
