AAlthough the intention to issue a new type of personal licence—that is a transport manager's licence—was announced by the Minister of Transport in her proposals for a new system of carriers' licensing, the
details still have to be worked out.
Talks are continuing with organizations concerned but as yet no finalized details are available regarding the transport manager's licences. But it is already proposed that they will be issued by the Licensing Authorities and will entitle the person concerned to manage a transport undertaking.
