Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A A standard work on the first subject is Road Transport Law, price 25s, which is obtainable from: Iliffe Books Ltd., Dorset House, Stamford Street, London, SE1. This is a bound volume now in its 14th edition.

If, however, an allied up-to-date service is also required then a publication in loose-leaf binding would be needed and this will be considerably more expensive. A standard work in this field in connection with UK operation is the Encyclopaedia of Road Traffic Law and Practice, obtainable from: Sweet and Maxwell, 11 New Fetter Lane, London, EC4. The price for the two volumes is 10 guineas (plus 6s postage), while the annual subscription for the amendment service is 5 guineas (plus 3s postage).

A recent publication dealing with road transport administration is the 135-page book Transport Management recently published by the Education Department of the Co-operative Union and obtainable from their Publications Department, Holyoake House, Hanover Street, Manchester 4, price 30s, or 31s 2d, postage paid.

Regarding costing the appropriate publication is the Commercial Motor Tables of Operating Costs, price 7s postage paid from George Newnes Ltd., Tower House, Southampton Street, London, WC2. In addition to detailed operating costs in respect of a wide range of commercial vehicles there are allied tables and data together with articles on a recommended vehicle-accounting system and tyre recording.
