WILSON, contracts executive of British School of Motoring, with responsibilities for commercial vehicle driver training, has been appointed manager (operations training) at the Wembley headquarters of the Road Transport Industry Training Board. Brian Wilson will be responsible to the divisional manager (technical training) for setting and maintaining driving training standards for both goods vehicles and p.s.v. Initially he will be compiling a set of training manuals to be used by training officers employed by the Board and privately appointed driving instructors.

George Stringer has been appointed deputy manager of the new authority's transport system. (He is manager, Middlesbrough transport undertaking.) W. R. Holland has been appointed transport manager, Middlesbrough Corporation. He was previously deputy transport manager, Stocktonon-Tees Corporation.

John D. Muskett has been appointed Runcorn Transport Services Ltd. managing director in succession to Harold Wood who has retired due to failing health. Mr. Muskett has been a director of RTS for the past two and a half years. From 1959 to 1966 he was managing director of Bishops Wharf and Isherwood Co. Ltd.

Mr. Wood steered the company's growth from the days when he drove a vehicle for it himself. On nationalization, he created the new RTS and in October, 1963, he took the decision to become part of Transport Development Group.
