THE INTRODUCTION of a simplified fare scale is being considered by Reading's transport committee to assist the drivers of its growing fleet of one-man-operated single-deck buses.
At a meeting last week, the committee, which had before it a financial review of the undertaking, adjourned consideration of a simplified scale to enable the new transport manager and engineer, Mr. R. C. Jenkins, to prepare a report on alternatives.
