Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Charles Young • Citroen has introduced a platform cab version of the Berlingo 800. This replaces the C15 platform cab, although the C15 van will remain available for at least 12 months.

Priced at 18,960 (ex-VAT) the 800 platform cab has a body/ payload capacity of 885kg and is powered by the XUD9 1.9litre naturally aspirated diesel engine. Standard equipment includes a driver's airbag and coded anti-theft system.

John Hargreaves, Citroen's commercial vehicle operations manager says: "We expect the Berlingo to expand the specialist markets open to Citroen through the C15 Champ platform cab." Citroen's sister company Peugeot has no plans yet for a platform cab version of the Partner—it sees it as a specialist market.

Citroen hopes to sell around 200 platform cabs a year for conversions such as temperature-controlled vans or pickups. Island Plastics has specified the Berlingo for its new Duo range of mini motor caravans, replacing C15-based models.

Meanwhile Citroen has priced its top-hinged tailgate at £150 (ex-VAT) which includes heated rear window and wash/wiper. A new heated rear windows and wash/wiper package for the standard twin rear doors costs £150 (ex-VAT).
