LONDON TRANSPORT International, the consultancy that sells LT's public transport knowledge around the world, has been re-organised into three teams to improve its service to clients. Each will be responsible for LTI's activities in a different region of the world: the Far East and Australasia; Europe, Africa and the Middle East; and the Americas and the UK.

His responsibilities will include LTI's involvement in a contract for the supervision of a multi-million dollar programme to revitalise the New York City subway system.

He has charge over the contract with the Caracas Metro and for work in the UK.

He is currently involved in the Metro and bus systems in Hong Kong, plans for the proposed Metro system in Taipei, and advising Singapore on bus systems and the design of the new Metro.

David Coughtrie becomes consultancy manager responsible for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He is presently involved in the designing of a new Metro system in Baghdad.
