They are to visit Nassau, Havana, Miami Beach and Bermuda, among other places.

MR. FREDERICK R. Simms, to whom we referred recently as being the founder of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, is a little hurt because we mentioned that he "claims " also to. have founded the Royal Automobile Club. We hasten to assure Mr. Simms that we are quite satisfied that his claim is fully justified. At a banquet held on the 25th anniversary of the Club, H.M..The King (then Prince of Wales) presented Mr. Simms with a testimonial, signed by Sir Arthur Stanley, in recognition of his work as its founder.

Following a world survey recently carried out by F. Perkins, Ltd., Peterborough, the company has decided that it is necessary to appoint two members of its staff to act on special liaison work with motor manufacturers generally. with the object of promoting, in collaboration with these concerns, the use of Perkins engines throughout the world. MR. V. E. 'BRIDGEN, sales superintendent for the Midlands, will contact with makers from a :saleS aspect, whilst MR. G. R. G. GATES, who has been associated with the company in a technical sales capacity since its inception, will act as 'technical cOnsultant.
