New CV sales rose in April
CV REGISTRATIONS rose again in April, according to the latest figures from the SMMT.
Overall registrations for all CVs rose by 2.4% to 17,387 against the same month last year, while year-to-date figures showed total registrations were up 6.2% to 79,734 on the same period in 2009.
Despite the overall rise, there were contrasting fortunes for vans and trucks. HGV registrations were still down compared to April 2009 by 17.2% and are down 22.5% for the year-to-date. LCVs, however, enjoyed a 6.7% and 11.9% increase respectively.
