Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SHORTAGE? What shortage? 1 read in your magazine and others that there is meant to be a shortage [of qualified drivers] but it appears that this isn't the case on the ground.

I have recently decided to do some driving work for some extra money for my forthcoming wedding.

Having a Class C licence, combined with the fact that there's an alleged shortage of drivers, I thought that I would soon be raking it in. So I signed on with an agency,

but there was no work forthcoming. I then contacted two more agencies who both said they had weekend work, but I am now nearly two months down the line and have not yet had a single day's work, much to my dismay.

However, if there are any companies that are looking for a hard-working, punctual and honest driver for weekends then don't hesitate to contact me through Commercial Motor. David Edcersley Manchester By e-mail
