• RH Group expects to recruit more drivers for its European groupage service later this year to cope with a sharp increase in demand on some routes.
The company says its Portugal general cargo service is "75% busier" than last year This month it started work on a new hanginggarment transport contract caling for three loads a week from Malta—the Peter Blond deal is to carry to Next stores.
RH employs 45 drivers on its main fleet of 38, 17 and 7.5-tanners. It has depots in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester, Sheffield, Liverpool, Leeds and Grantham.
El The Nottingham-based company says its satellite-linked vehicle tracking system, due to come on line before the end of this year, is one of the first to go on stream in the UK since the system was introduced to the market last year.
