3NDON'S new transport lief is Shelagh Roberts, who kes over as chairman of the reater London Council's ansport committee from iboues Jim Daly And Miss Roberts, a five feet one inch, 52-year-old Welshwoman has made it clear that one of her first tasks will be to shake London Transport up.
She has already announced her intentions of asking for reductions in staffing, and improvements in services, as well as the ending of the Labour committee's anti-car 'vendetta' waged by Jim Daly.
