Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

New Highway Code

A NEW revised Highway Code will be put before Parliament before the Summer recess, Transport Under-Secretary of State John Horam has told the Commons in a written reply.

He told another MP that the Armthorpe-Hatfield of the MI8 will open this summer.

Grants worth £4.6m

SPECIAL FUNDS are to be made available by the Road Transport Industry Training Board and the Manpower Service Commission to encourage employers to take on more apprentices.

Under the scheme 4,000 awards will be made for the first-year apprentices worth a total of £4,650,000 to be paid where additional apprentices are recruited over the normal recruitment target of an employer.

The scheme — this is its third year — is limited to first-year apprentices.

The RTITB had hoped to get retention grants for secondyear apprentices, but Government policy on school-leavers has ruled this out.

Dorada record

DORADA Holdings has recorded big improvements in profits according to the vehicle distribution and engineering group's chairman Thomas Kenny.

Mr Kenny announced the group's record profit of £830,000 for 1976. Profits have soared by 129 per cent over those of the previous year.

Scots DAF

DAF Trucks is to build a service centre at Grangemouth in the Central region of Scotland, at a cost of £1/2 million.

The new site covers 6.5 acres and is scheduled for completion in January 1978.
