• Company busmen delegates on Wednesday accepted by 61 votes to 34 the NC01 offer of a rise of just over 12 per cent on the basic weekly wage (see page 31). Fifty representatives of striking Scottish busmen went to Transport House to protest at the union's recommendation to accept; they then lobbied MPs at the House of Commons.
