Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

this week following an attack outside Calais. Steven Griffiths, who works for Rhylbased Ctywd International Groupage Services (CIGS), was left needing 10 stitches in a two-inch stab wound in his hand following the assault (see picture, above). The incident occurred at the Elf filing station near Calais port when Griffiths spotted someone attempting to climb into the trailer. I told him to get lost, or words to that effect, and he came at me obviously intent on doing some damage," he says.

"Then he pulled a knife and went for me. I put my hand up to cover my face and neck and got ft in the back of the hand." Now Griffiths, who has been on international work for 24 years, says he is thinking of quitting overseas work: It's just not worth it anymore. It doesn't matter what the wages are, they aren't worth getting stabbed or killed for."

CIGS boss Kenneth Baker says that stowaways are becoming an increasing problem for his 16-truck fleet: "Just the other day one of our drivers even found an illegal clinging to the cab of his tractor unit," he reports.
