Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Department of Transport is to sell two of its former research sites because they are no longer needed.

The sale of the sites at Crowthorne, Berkshire, and Livingstone in Scotland follows the E6 million purchase of the Department's Transport Research Laboratory (TRL) by the Transport Research Foundation ITRF), in a management buyout.

TRF leases offices on both sites. It has a 15-year tenancy at the 249-acre Crowthorne centre and a one-year tenancy at the 1.7-acre Livingstone site. The Transport Research Laboratory used to carry out a number of accident and LGV research studies at the sites before it was sold to TRF earlier this year, which is now contracted to run the research.

No prices have been set yet for either site.
