• Operators should be allowed a second weigh on dynamic-axle weighbridges, says the Road Haulage Association — even though it agrees with the Department of Transport that dynamic weighbridges give consistent results.
Following a four-month DTp
trial a report is being prepared claiming that dynamic weighbridges are accurate (CM 7-13 March).
The trial, during which overweight vehicles were allowed to re-weigh, led the RHA to concede that such weighbridges are consistent.
