Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

\ICE AGAIN the public are iing tempted to carry out pairs on their vehicles by the I-Y magazines (recently Ivertised on the television). I realize that this is nothing :w, but I feel very concerned lout the standard of orkmanship that must go with is type of do-it-yourself. Just recently at a local main lents, a mechanic was sacked r not fitting a split pin into a eering component resulting in -1 accident. The point I am !eking is this: if the trained iechanic can fail on the odd 9r11, what does the 'experienced and ignorant D-Iman leave himself open to 'hen doing a safety repair? Do the odd adjustment, the )utine servicing and the panel ?.pairs, but not the major rakesteering work that has to ope with the speeds and udden decisions of modern lotoring.

Even after teaching for two ears at night school, various People from the street were not ip to this sort of repair let alone ist reading a magazine or book luring the week.

I cannot think of any easy iolution, but I for one would like o see some kind of check ;ystem, rather than wait for the iltimate result of a fitting nistake.
