K. G. Jones, 46, has been appointed general service manager for ERF Ltd. Before joining ERF, Mr. Jones spent three years as chief superintendent engineer of road transport for the Coastlines Group of Companies. Before joining Coastlines. Mr, Jones had spent 27 years with the bulk liquid haulage company of A. S. Jones, Liverpool, having held the position of engineer and manager.
J. E. Biggs has been appointed Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd. marketing liaison manager at the company's HO with specific responsibility for the UK transport service industry. S. G. Beale joins the marketing directorate as marketing liaison manager, responsible for the UK manufacturing and service industry, the area previously covered by Mr. Biggs.
George McLeod has been appointed Ellairgowrie district traffic supervisor for W. Alexander and Sons !Northern) Ltd. Mr. McLeod has been with the firm in the Aberdeen area for 18 years.
Stanley Yorke has been appointed Shrewsbury depot manager of National Carriers Ltd., with charge over an area that includes Wellington, Oswestry, and much of Central Wales. Mr. Yorke has been assistant depot manager at Shrewsbury since 1968.
Guy D. Neely, 37. has been appointed chief financial officer of the National Bus Company. Latterly Mr. Neely has been a management adviser with Unilever Ltd. Other NBC changes—P. Scully, general manager of Aldershot and District Traction Co. Ltd., has been appointed to the board of the City of Oxford .Motor Services Ltd, Robert McKay, since 1964 station superintendent Omnibus Stations Ltd., Manchester, has been appointed deputy manager of W. C. Standerwick Ltd., from July 1. A. W. Hughes, a divisional traffic assistant with the Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Co., has been appointed chief traffic assistant of the Bristol Omnibus Co. Ltd. from July 1.
Wilfrid Andrews, 77, has been re-elected chairman of the RAC for the 24th successive year. John H. Watts, a director of United Transport Overseas Ltd.. has been elected first president of the company. Charles Boyd White, managing director, becomes deputy chairman as well. He will be joined by A. F. R. Ceding, as deputy chairman.
Royston Alan Wright, 42, has been appointed manager, highway transportation department, of the Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. (GB.) Ltd., from July 1. Mr. Wright has been assistant manager for the past two years and takes over from J. A. Stanley who is retiring.
C. N. Edmunds, 37, has been appointed manager of fleet and light commercial vehicle sales BLMC's Austin Morris division. He will be responsible to A. R. Ham, sales operations manager. Mr. Edmunds was previously regional sales manager in London.

OBITUARY
We record with regret the death of F. Howarth. Mr. Howarth. 64. had been rolling stock engineer with Rochdale Corporation Transport since November 1949.
