Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The world's widest tunnel, taking the Stockholm-Paris-Lisbon E3 motorway under the Scheldt River in Antwerp. was officially opened on Saturday of last week by King Baudouin of Belgium.

The E3 motorway, although far from completion, is part of a planned system of motorways centring on Antwerp's Kleine Ring which link the port and city with many of Europe's major cities and industrial areas. Among the other routes is the El 0 motorway

linking Amsterdam-Antwerp-Brussels-Paris. Such is the complexity of the Kleine Ring that at one point 17 flyover bridges are to be found in a square kilometre, The new tunnel, named after President Kennedy, is 1561t wide and has completely separate sections providing three lanes for vehicular traffic in either direction, a cycle track with special escalators at each end and a two-track railway line.
