W/HEN an application by D. Cook and VI' Son, Airport Garage, Hull, came before the Yorkshire Licensing Authority, last week, Mr. R. Paterson, a solicitor, said he was interested in the case. Cook's, who were not in court, wanted one of their vehicles to be taken over by a limited company formed a year ago.
• Mr. Paterson said Cook's were his clients, but although he had communicated with Mr. Cook three times in the past fortnight, he had failed to keep an appointment. The Road Haulage Association had also interviewed Mr. Cook and his accountants, and had indicated the evidence that would be needed.
Refusing the application, Maj. F. S. Eastwood remarked: "The enforcement officer will-be interested to contact him. if I take his lorry off the road, perhaps he will take notice of me and his advisers."
