Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE handling of plastics panelling is still a bone of contention between n members of the National Unio of Vehicle Builders and the National Union of Sheet Metal Workers. The N.U.V.B. claim the work because it does not involve panel beating, hut the N.U.S.M.W. say the use of panels cast to shape from molten plastics tends to deprive their members of employment in panel beating. The dispute has already led to brief stoppages at the Works of Herbert Lomas, Ltd., Wilmslow, Plaxtons (Scirborough). Ltd., and H. V. Burlingham, Ltd., Blackpool. The matter is to be discussed at the annual conference of the National Employers' Association of Vehicle Builders at Scarborough from June 23-26. The Association's present policy is to recommend members to respect local custom in allocating the work. At the annual general meeting held in conjunction with the conference, Mr. N. R. Carrington-Bates (London), the president, will be succeeded by Mr. A. F. Morrish (Bristol). Mr. I. S. Wicks (Spalding) is nominated for' the vice-presidency.

WHEN S. and N. Knight Coaches, VI' Kidderminster, successfully applied to the West Midland Traffic Commissioners, last week, to provide coaches linking Birmingham with Blackbushe airport, Hants, Derby (Aviation), Ltd., and Don Everall (Aviation), Ltd., objected that they would suffer loss of passengers on Continental flights if travellers availed themselves of the service to Blackbushe. The fare was fixed at II single and the coaches will be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 27— September 8 to people with airline tickets from Blackbushe. At present, said Mr. M.
