Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

No folks, this isn't science fiction—vehicles that can see around corners are on the way from Nissan.

A prototype is now being produced featuring hightech video cameras which are cunningly mounted on the front bumper. They are designed to swivel sideways scanning the road on either side of the vehicle.

An image processor then works out whether a dog running out from the kerb (not The Hawk's well-trained canine chum Fader' obviously) or a nearby vehicle, is likely to cause a collision (useful hint: dogs do less damage).

An alarm is sounded and, hey presto, the driver wakes up in the to take action. Expect the first model to appear in 2002.
