• Dartford-based MJD is looking for up to 15 owner-drivers to help it cope with extra work following its purchase of fellow Coca-Cola contractor Falcon Roadways.
Managing director Micky Dole says he paid a "significant sum" to buy the Bermondsey
based business, which holds the contract to supply Greater London's Coca Cola: MJD already has the contract to deliver Coca-Cola in the South as far west as Dorchester.
The addition of Falcon's 14 drivers, 10 tractors and 16 trailers brings MJD's establishment
to 44 drivers, 35 tractors and 51 trailers. It needs extra driver:, for round-the-clock delivery.
Falcon's assets were moved to MJD's rented two-acre site last week so that they can be serviced from its 24-hour workshop, but Dole plans to buy his own site.
