• Northern Ireland is in desperate need of improved transport links with Europe, according to a report published by the province's Confederation of British Industry.
It believes businesses in Northern Ireland will be at a disadvantage once the Channel tunnel is completed, it is calling for an independent study to assess the commercial effects of the tunnel. The report also suggests the study could investigate possible Eurotunnel links via Scotland and the north-west.
