I A total of 44 trucks were )pped last week in the third indon lorry ban enforcement tz to involve the police. The exercise, on the West .omwell Road, could lead to many as 20 prosecutions, ys London Boroughs Trans11 Committee chairman Pete .oadbent.
The lorry ban complaints tline is taking two or three tip-offs from the public every day, says the LBTC. These calls have helped to highlight a number of "rat-run" short-cuts; the LBTC plans to stage enforcement exercises on them soon.
