Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by the AA. A summary of the AA bulletin with traffic news covering major approaches to the ports in south-east England may be obtained from the AA's new recorded information service, phone (0836) 401904. It is updated twice daily and charged at 35p per minute 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs Monday-Friday, 22p per minute at other times (ex-VAT).

The school holidays are now in full swing in many parts of the Continent. This weekend will see very heavy traffic throughout Europe's roads. Roads leading to resorts in the South will be congested, and delays are likely at the beginning of the weekend.

The sale of leaded regular (two star) petrol is to be banned in EC countries in an effort to reduce pollution. The ban is already in effect in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Luxembourg and Switzerland. From 1 July all service stations on French motorways will sell unleaded petrol.

The roadworks listed are those on the most important routes and may cause delay to traffic at certain times. They may affect traffic in one or both directions.

CM readers who know of other delays or useful information on the Continent are invited to contact us via the 24-hour news hotline, phone 01-661 3689.
