Up to 200 employees of istribution firm UYC face reandancy with the closure of ight UK depots and the firm's Q, following its merger with , ster company Fitch and Son_ UYC was sold to Fitch ovell by Guinness last Octonfor £22 million. Since the keover, six depots have been int down. Fitch Lovell also ans to sell about a third of YC's 340-strong fleet. The food manufacturer and distribution company has also relaunched its specialist distribution company, Blue Cap, as Fitch Distribution Services, absorbing UYC's contract distribution business.
At Fitch Lovell's annual report last week, the company announced a turnover of £244.3 million on its distribution side, compared with £190.5 million.
