He is hoping for many foreign visitors and thinks that they will be able to attend the London show to do business before going on to Birmingham for the NEC show.
"We are of the opinion that commercial vehicle customers and exhibitors would prefer a short, sharp show open to the trade only, with plenty of room to move around, and we believe that we shall attract both the exhibitors and the customers," said Mr Corcoran.
The new show will be staged on the basis of low-cost stands in a quiet atmosphere without distractions.
Mr Corcoran said that the idea for the new show was born out of the discontent felt by some sections of the trade after the Birmingham show in 1978 — but he said the NEC show was "magnificent at attracting visitors,"
