Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AROUND FIVE MILLION tons of lpg per yeaI will be available from North Sea fields starting in 1981/82, according to Calor Gas. Currently the market for lpg in the UK is 1.3m tons but in Calor's opinion this is likely to grow at about five per cent per year. ; Although the cost of lpg is lower than that of pe rol, there is the conversion cost to consider as well as the eterioration in fuel consumption. Because of these factors, Calor estimates that around 40,000 miles need to be covered on lpg before there is any saving. This is assuming that the operator pays top rqail price for this lpg against an equivalent petrol price of £1.15 per gallon.

Last year 30,000 tons of lpg were used for road vehicles in the UK compared with 350,000 tons in the Netherlands and 750,000 tons in Italy.
