EDINBURGH bus inspectors have threatened to halt city services unless their bonus claim is settled soon. There coul one-day stoppage by the 93 inspectors followed by a SI during the Edinburgh Festival.

This has been agreed unanimously by Edinburgh inspec branch of the Association of Clerical, Technical & Supervi Staff — the white-collar section of the TGWU.

At issue is a bonus payment of an additional sum of arour a week. In recent talks with transport representatives of Lot Regional Council, it was agreed that a joint submission sh be made to the Scottish Local Authority's national joint col and that talks should be arranged as speedily as possible.

Jack Beaton, inspectors' branch secretary, said his menwere angry about delays in settling the grievance.
