THE BARR and Wall Arnold Trust, the parent c pany of Wallace Arnold To has announced record pre profits for 1978.
The Leeds-based comp showed pre-tax profits £2.45m, which is 53 per above 1977's figure. just • half of this was earned by leisure and holiday divis which includes all Wal Arnold's coaching activi holidays and hotels. This ision's earnings rose f £0.8m to £1.3m in 1978.
The Barr and Wal Arnold Trust also owns rr car dealerships and gan and the motor distribu division showed a pre-tax fit of nearly Elm, an incr of 65 per cent on the prey year.
Earnings from the sma division, the computer bur were slightly up in 1978 1 £300,000 to £340,000.
