Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Uplifting

MILLER Brothers Limited of Foxton Cambridge has realised the difficulty experienced by disabled passengers when using their coach services.

With this in mind the operator has purchased a new Bedford YNT Plaxton Supreme coach fitted with a second entrance incorporating a Ratcliffe cable lift.

The lift is situated at a second entrance mounted just in front of the rear axle. Only two seats are lost in the 11 metre vehicle which can still accommodate 49 passengers.

LT loses miles

TRAFFIC congestion in London last year caused London Transport to lose four million bus miles — two per cent of its total mileage.

A proportion of this is thought to be attributable to the wettest weather of the century.

• An increase in the number of London buses with doors is also said to have slowed bus journey times.

Greyhounds for sale

AMERICA's Greyhound coach organisation is looking for new markets for its secondhand coaches and for new coaches that it builds in its own Roswell and Pembina production plants.

The Middle East is one area that Greyhound feels provides a potential market and with this in mind it has opened an office in Saudi Arabia which it hopes will help promote the sale of both new and used vehicles.

Irish dealer

CROSSON Transport Ltd at Drogheda, Ireland, has been appointed dealer for Van Hool bodied Bedford coaches in the Republic of Ireland.

Crosson Transport is well known as a coach operator in Ireland operating both independently and with the Eirebus group.
