Volvo supermarket
SUPERMARKET facilities for Volvo operators are now available at Hartshorne Motor Services' new mobile parts supermarket installed in a Volvo F86 van.
The service will operate in outlying areas on a regular 24-hour basis carrying a comprehensive range of Volvo spares which operators will be able to select off the shelves of the mobile supermarket.
Bombay fortnightly
A NEW fortnightly integrated service using a container ship has been started by Trident International between Felixstowe and Bombay in association with Contship Container Line.
The new service will use a variety of vessels including end and side-loaders and open-toppers and bulk liquid .carriers.
Irish MAN
MAN Concessionaires GB Ltd has appointed Traynor Motors Ltd main importer and distributor for Southern Ireland. Based at North Road, Finglas, Dublin 11, it will be responsible for the entire range of MAN vehicles marketed by MAN Concessionaires.
NFC move
THE National Freight Corporation's Special Traffics Group has moved to 49 Clarendon Road, Watford WD1 1HP.
This is a temporary arrangement pending a move into permanent accommodation in Watford.
Going Dutch
NORTH Sea Ferries have announced that their new ro/ro freight only ship mv Norsky will go into service on the Ipswich/Rotterdam run later this month. She will replace the vessel Normandica. The Norsky can carry 120 12m trailers and thirteen 6m units or any mix. There is accommodation for 12 drivers.
